After losing several large employers in recent years, this project
helps address the growing problem of rural poverty by providing
this uniquely located corridor with highly trained and technically

Through an expanded variety of Career & Technical Pathway
educational opportunities, the project will serve students in the
south central region of Illinois to provide them with additional
career options. The center will also provide job training and
retraining for adults with current regionally based employment
opportunities. The proposed building is located adjacent to
                                             Lincoln Land Community College.

The school district has plans to partner with community colleges
in the future to provide technical education opportunities for area
                                             students.
