Wrapping up the year the region celebrated the season with a Holiday Party. The party was held in the
lounge in our new Chicago Office. It gave the region a first look at the new downtown office space. We
gathered with food, drinks and a gift exchange which always provides a few laughs.

All the practice areas seemed to be humming at quite a pace. I kept saying throughout the year “ the
work keeps falling from the sky.” We competed and won a lot of work, but it seemed new clients and
projects were just falling into our laps. I believe this is the result of our solid reputation we have
established in the marketplace and the confidence our firm brings to new and existing clients. The
workload kept us extremely busy and the effort to increase our region’s staff continued. Sixteen new
employees joined the region while only nine exited for a gain of 7 versus just a small increase in 2021.
This is significant as the Chicago region is our largest and most established, but we still are
experiencing considerable growth.
Therefore, the theme woven among all these experiences, efforts and outcomes – it was an
“unbelievably good” year.
