STAFF ACCOMPLISHMENTS
FGMA is proud to receive the 2022 AIA Central States Emerging Professional Friendly Firm. The
Emerging Professional Friendly Firm program aims to identify firm initiatives that promote the
advancement of Emerging Professionals through professional development and personal growth
opportunities.
Laura Wheeler passed the WELL AP exam. WELL aims to create safer spaced
and healthier communities
Jen Carlson participated in the AIA|STL Christopher
Kelly Leadership Development Program (CKLDP) and
graduated in May. Taryn Risley was selected in
October to participate in the next session. The CKLDP
aims to train the next generation of leaders in
architecture through a nine-month leadership training
curriculum, focused on entrepreneurship and firm
management, teamwork and collaboration, negotiation
skills, client development, community leadership and
understanding industry trends.
Danny Matchett and Elise Skulte took the time
to attend an onsite Lunch and Learn with the
Masonry Institute of St. Louis earlier this month to
get first-hand knowledge of how to improve their
bricklaying skills. Apprenticeship instructors and
local mason contractors were on hand to assist
attendees with converting project document
information into real-world masonry systems.
McKelvey Primary School wins the 2022 Interior Design
Excellence Award from the IIDA Gateway Chapter! We’re
thrilled to share that McKelvey Primary Center (Parkway
Schools) recently won the 2022 Interior Design Excellence
Award in the PK-12 category from the IIDA Gateway Chapter!
Congratulations to the design team and all their hard work,
especially Paul Luzecky and Laura Wheeler who worked
closely with district officials on McKelvey Elementary.
