Dear friends and supporters,

Thank you so much for your generous donation and contribution to the Papaflessas
Basketball Sponsorship Book. I continue to be overwhelmed with the support we
received.

With help from players, parents, supporters, volunteers, and überfans that helped make
the 2018 tournament season special.

Thank you to the following dedicated coaching staff who share their time and
enthusiasm for teaching basketball and coaching these great young men and women.

Papaflessas Basketball supported over fifteen (15) teams with over one hundred thirty
two (162) youth last year and participated in several regional tournaments. The group
traveled to tournaments in Windsors, Canada and Grosse Pointe, Michigan.
While the teams in the program had great win-loss records and they enjoyed their share
of big victories and emotional defeats, the games of this past tournament season will
eventually fade into fragmented memories. In the end, the measures of success are not
the statistics or wins, rather, they are the friendships, lessons and maturing that are the
result of effort, selfless commitment to the teams and dedication to personal
betterment. As a parent and coach, I am fortunate and blessed to have been a part of it.

As I look back, I can’t help but to also look forward to this season. I am excited to see
how the youth will embrace the legacy of the past season.

I dedicate this book to my parents, brothers, family, coaches, players, supporters, all the
past leaders and members, to the current leaders and members, and all the future
leaders and members of Papaflessas who continue and will continue to nurture and
develop our Association.

Again, we appreciate all of those that provided us with a sponsorship. With the
generous support of people like you, we will be able to help families, youth, and
individuals. We will continue to work together for a Hellenic legacy which contains a
distinguished past with a vibrant future.
