 Traditional Transport - left, My journey to the Greek Islands was
 like stepping back in time.  Life’s pace was slow, which calmed the
 soul. A community spirit was evident as everyone worked together
 and looked out for one another. We were welcomed into their
 celebrations with generous sharing it was life changing. My inspi-
 ration came when looking through my
 favourite donkey photos from Simi. These donkeys were a joy to
 come across as we walked the many steps. I loved capturing this
 memory.
 Techniques
 Whole cloth painted. Thread painted in a hoop through the top
 fabric layer. Free-motion quilted.
 Gained a merit award in Aotearoa Quilters Journey Challenge.
