   UICT HOLISTIC EDUCATION CENTRES
“Society is at risk of cultural and moral degeneration,” he says with passion and purpose. “What is needed is a revival of character and morality. This can only be achieved through education, God-consciousness, empathy and selflessness.”
- UICT-KZN Director
Osman enrolled for the Aalim Course at UICT, Claridge in Pietermaritzburg and went on to spend two years in Turkey... an experience of a life-time for the young man from humble beginnings in Mariannhill, a semi-rural area on the outskirts of Durban.
“I graduated in 2020 and now I am a teacher at the UICT centre in Isipingo Hills,” says Osman with pride. “My younger brother is following in my footsteps. He will graduate next year.’’
Osman is only 22, but he has a presence and maturity far beyond his years.
“I can relate to my students, and I can guide them because I am African. I know where they come from, and I can see the path ahead.”
Thanks to the intervention of UICT’s development projects and its dedicated volunteers, South Africa is becoming a better place, day by day. Without dedicated individuals around the world, we would not be able to build a lasting legacy to educate a young generation to be exemplary role models of our beautiful faith, and to continue to deliver the many other activities for the sole pleasure of the Almighty.
