UICT HOLISTIC EDUCATION CENTRES
New projects, bright futures
There are currently more than 10 building projects underway, which are destined to be UICT education facilities. These include schools, boarding houses and spiritual schools as Madrasah.
Arif Ahmet Denizolgun Külliyesi Dawood Hassam Moosa and Fatima Bai Moosa Educational Complex
incorporating Dawood Hassam Moosa Islamic and Cultural Centre
The Educational Complex is located 55kms from Durban and 25kms from Pietermaritzburg on the N3 and is UICT’s current flagship project to create an educational comlex that will be centred around a learning environment. It will cater for 1500 primary and high school students who will live and be taught at the complex. Other facilities will be the “Dawood Hassam
Moosa Islamic & Cultural Centre” hall, dining, kitchen & sports facilities. Staff will live on site and there will be chalets for visitors located around the dam.
To support the centre there will be an abattoir which will slaughter and process red meat and chicken for use by the institute and the public. The site will also be home to small game and provide for eco-friendly agriculture.
This project has been made possible from the generous donation of the land by Advocate Ismail Omar and a grant to develop the facilities from the Willowton Group for which UICT gives thanks and gratitude.
