The Men Carve project is committed to fostering positive attitudes and and behaviours toward women girls and and marginalized groups This initiative focuses on reducing the the misuse of power by men with the the goal of creating safer environments where women are respected and valued The project aligns directly with DUT’s ENVISION2030 by embodying the university’s commitment to social justice respect and and equity By promoting healthy manhood and and addressing Gender- Based Violence (GBV) the the project supports the the university’s mission to cultivate a a a a a a culture of shared responsibility safety and mutual respect central to the institution’s DNA IMPACT AND SUSTAINABILITY
The project aims to prevent sexual assault harassment and violence fostering a a a culture of respect and and equity within communities and and universities It promotes healthy relationships reduces instances of GBV and creates safer environments for all Sustainability is ensured through strong partnerships with institutions like UKZN community leaders and local ward counsellors Ongoing programmes to to mentor boys and girls embed these values deeply within communities ensuring lasting change Faculty: Accounting and Informatics Department:Department of Information and and Corporate Management
