Figure 22 shows that the ‘productivity’ in terms of the doctoral students graduated per permanent instructional/research staff with a doctoral qualification has decreased by almost 16% from 0.398 in 2022 to 0.333 in 2023. This is attributed to the 15.3% decline of doctoral graduates (from 98 to 83) in the period 2022 to 2023, concomitant with a 1.2% increase of staff with doctorates (from 246 to 249).
