APPENDIX A: What to Do in an Emergency?
UNIVERSITY OF ZULULAND
1. Call 035 902 6599 – PSD, the first contact point.
2. Only one phone call needs be made. Use your cell phone if
necessary.
3. Emergency Procedure: Follow your building’s emergency
procedures.
PSD EMERGENCY NUMBER:
✔ Do not assume that the PSD has already learned about the emergency.
✔ Any member of the UNIZULU, staff or student should immediately communicate any information regarding any emergency to the PSD.
✔ This will streamline the process and ensure that an emergency can be quickly and efficiently managed.
✔ The PSD will in turn liaise with the other people through the Emergency Management and Response Network
