Dr Suresh Babu Naidu Krishna is a Research Fellow at Department of Biomed- ical and Clinical Technology (Research & Post
Graduate Support). Since the beginning of his career, his research has focused on the optimization and development of scientific methods for the rapid diagnosis of antimicro- bial resistance (AMR), as well as the conduct of numerous studies to gain a better under- standing of the applications of nanoparticles in biomedical applications. His current study focuses on improving the reliability of existing nanoparticle applications for human health to effectively manage antibiotic resistance (AMR). He is passionate about teaching and training students, intern researchers, and pro- fessionals, among other things.

Prof Jamila K Adam
To date, Prof. Adam has supervised the research projects of more than 500 Bachelor of Technology students and 55 post-
graduate students from various institutions and departments around South Africa. In her career, Adam has received numerous institutional and national research awards acknowledging her revolutionary status as a leader in South African medicine. Her awards include Top University Woman Researcher (2012), Top University Publisher of the Year (2012) and Faculty Researcher of the Year (2012). Up to 2013, she was the clinical technology programme co-ordinator and chaired the FRC and DRC.
