Explanation of Actual Achievement
Thirty seven (37) students were funded for their studies through the KZNFilm bursary programme. The students were mainly studying at UKZN, DUT and AFDA. Most of the students who were funded were females and youth and came from the designated group.
SMME Incubation Programme
Explanation of Actual Achievement
The SMME (Small, Medium, and Micro Enterprises) development program is aimed at addressing business gaps through tailored interventions for each individual company. In the 2023/24 financial year, 11 SMMEs were contracted, with one in each District Municipality. The program’s interventions for phase 1, focused on fiscal management, targeting the employees who handle the company’s finances or bookkeeping, depending on the company’s size. The program will run for a period of three years, with a new intake every year.
