PRACTICAL BUSINESS FINANCE MASTERCLASS
The center, on the 5th of July 2023, held a Practical Business Finance Masterclass for small business owners. The workshop was facilitated by finance guru Mr. Marc Johnson, and had covered two important elements, The Language of Finance and Costing & Pricing. Entrepreneurs had learned about the basics of financial management, including how to read financial statements, create budgets, and manage cash flow. They had also learned about the importance of costing and pricing their products and services. Mr. Johnson provided clear and concise explanations of complex financial concepts, and he made the material easy to understand. The workshop was a great opportunity for entrepreneurs to learn about the financial aspects of running a business.
PITCH DAY FOR THE IDEATION GROUP
On the 23rd of August 2023, The Centre hosted a pitch day for the ideation group, a cohort of 15 entrepreneurs who had attended an intense two-day Bootcamp and business development sessions to help them shape their business ideas. Each entrepreneur had five minutes to pitch their idea and explain their business process. As a Centre for Social Entrepreneurship, we were impressed with the quality of the pitches, the passion of these entrepreneurs, and the progress that they had made through the programme. We are excited to see what they accomplish in the future!
