He advocates for using and sharing indigenous knowledge to improve the state of the natural environment in KwaZulu-
Natal, through ongoing community involvement. Nathi firmly believes that success in natural resource management requires a genuine passion for the environment, rather than viewing it merely as a means to earn money. This perspective helps avoid discouragement when finances are constrained. He also mentions the importance of reading books and journals as a way to expand one’s knowledge and diversify skills. These in turn can enhances employability and marketability.
