Poetic Fragments
Poems lend themselves beautifully to this project. You can write If you have a favorite poetry book, and you don’t want to
your own poems on scraps of paper and collage them into your tear out a page, take a photo of a favorite passage and email
composition, and you can also print out poems from online sources it to yourself, then print that out as a replica that leaves
on printer paper -- and then distress the paper. the book undamaged. Use the printed page image in your
collage work.
Examples below include crumpled paper, veiled paper, and tinted
paper all printed originally from your computer’s printer. Some are
images of poems written in the poets’ own handwriting.
Note: Make sure the poems you chose are in the public
domain!
