This group picture provides several example of sculpted figures in
various stages.
Note the large dragon style gargoyle is more beige than white. This
is what the paperclay looks like before it has been gessoed. See
how animated his arms and hands are. Compare his arms to some
of the mid-size gargoyles.
The dragon style gargoyle just below him looks like he is growling.
The two dragon style gargoyles just below the owl in the middle
have very different body language. Splash is holding a paint brush
and paint palette. While Happy has a blissful pose.
The smaller chess pieces along the bottom row each have their
own personality.
When you are designing your characters, be sure to give careful
thought to what your character is doing and what kind of body
language you want to use to convey their story.
You can refer back to page 4 to get a closer look at all the
characters.
