Painting Sculptures
There are many methods and techniques for doing encaustic
painting, as well as a wide range of products and colors to
chose from. Here is a list of my favorites.
R&F Heated Tool
• R&F Temp Regulator 500WT
• Spatula Handle
• HEATED TIP-HORN - Primary tool I use
• TIP-BURNISHER
Paper towels cut in rectangles - Use folded (double thickness)
to clean and tighten hot tool tips.

stroke.
1/2 inch Hake Brush - Firmer brush for a wider stroke.
Size 4 and Size 6 Pointed Round Sable/Kolinsky Brushes (2nds
or Blick Master Kolinsky Sable Short Handle Round) - For
painting small details.

Encaustic Brush 1/2 inch Angled Hog Bristle by Enkaustikos -

paperclay sculptures. Good for building up base color of wax
for relief.
