Why You Ask?
Book clubs can create a fun, safe, and engaging experience for children. Our goal is to provide an opportunity
for our children to discuss Christian principles that are revealed in a story about simple everyday encounters
with their peers and society at large.
What Book You Ask?
This month we will read “The Jacket”, by Andrew Clements; Fiction, 89 pages
Book Snippet: “When Phil spies Daniel, an African-American schoolmate, wearing a jacket identical to one that
his mother bought him in Italy, a problem arises…”
What Happens Next You Ask?
This is a pilot program that we pray will interest our children so much that they will be eager to participate and
enjoy reading even more while having lots of fun and fellowship.
