STEP 6 -- GLASS ALTERNATIVES
A simple analogy between single glass and our glass is to equate it to inches of insulation.
v2 is a tool designed for checking the inert gas concentration within IG units in a non invasive way.

Of course if we filled our glass pack with insulation it would be extremely energy efficient but then it really wouldn’t be a window. Therefore our engineers wanted something denser than 1” that you could still see through and our inert Delta-8 gas mixture was the answer. In order to assure that our units are accurately filled we test and measure the gas after the unit has been filled. The process begins by utilizing Smart Fill-2 Equipment from InaGas - A leader in innovation!
Because Energy Savings is directly related to an insulated glass unit being filled properly we not only use state-o-the-art filling technology we also followup with metering each unit after filling with an GasGlass V2 handheld gas fill analyzer.
After Smart Filing the units the 4th corner area is re- heated with a quartz 600 watt heat lamp prior to completing the corner seal. A quartz lamp is used be- cause radiant energy is transmitted through the glass and heats the bondline and topcoat joints directly. We then verify the Gas Fill: The GasGlass Handheld
The technology is based
on plasma emission
spectroscopy. A high volt-
age spark is launched in the IG units cavity causing a light emission which is observed and analyzed further.
