 Young Faces Compose Band
It's often been thought of as a prison door even though the sign clearly indicates it is the gateway to the Music Room. Few are aware of the new brand of music surging through the foundations of the school, save Mr. Chura, whose homeroom is fortunate enough to be placed directly above the source. Needless to say he has nothing but compliments for the orchestral ocĀ­ cupations from below. "It may be unusual, but I like it" was his latest observation on the state of the art.
Those who engage in sometimes nocturnal gatherings in addition to the Wednesday jam sessions, are growing in number thanks to their new director Mr. Rotunno. His plans include a revitalized Musicale and perhaps the addition ofa musical play in the future.
While the out-of-tune piano and frequent flooding of the basement headquarters of the band create frustration for most members; optimism seems to characterize their attitude when they gather down on the first floor.
