Frosh rebound
after slow start
A "rollercoaster season” describes the Frosh Cagers, Wins over Jamesville-Dewitt, Fowler and Corcoran provided an emotional boost to the young team, while early losses to Flenninger, Bishop Ludden and Notting ham put a slight damper on their spirits.
Several standouts could be found on the squad’s roster. Both on offense and defense, led by coach Gary Bar- naba, the good inside play of the big men — Dave Centore, Chris Bersani, and Chris Pelnik — was aided by the outside sharpshooting of Mike Herring. Other team members came off the bench to turn in fine performances late in the games.
Perhaps what best characterized the season for the Frosh five was their convincing win over rival Ludden 48-42 in their meeting. The 10-5 record promises a successful JV squad next season.
