Varsity Basketball fouls out
The air became filled with the sound of slam dunks, jump shots, and lay-ups as the CBA Hoop season began. When it finally came to an end, the Brothers were done.
A season opener at Auburn suggested high hopes for the CBA Five. Their opponents shot 17% from the floor which promised a strong Brothers defense. It was a seesaw season for the CBA Cagers as league play witnessed wins against Watertown and Corcoran. Forward Bill Ferris stunned spectators as he tied the score with two seconds left in the game against the Cougars. This shot in the arm spurred the team on by a convincing score 51-48.

Successive losses against league leaders Ludden and Not tingham resulted in an altered momentum as the team sought to recoup its strength.
Individual performances by Sophomore Chris Fletcher, guard Bill Meyers, as well as high scorer Dave Rabe helped to keep the team fighting through the season. The home game against Bishop Ludden saw the CBA Cagers dominate the Knights for over 31 minutes of the game. In spite of that. Senior Bill Meyers hit for 17 points, the Brothers lost an extremely well played game. The season was marked by similar disappointments.
