Opening losses frustrate team but
JV Baseball Swings To Winning Season
A slow start — the loss of five of the first six games — could have totally frustrated the Junior Varsity Baseball Team. However, under the guidance of Coach Kevin Conroy, the team pulled itself together to win ten of their thirteen last games. An especially satisfying highlight of the season was the team’s victory over Bishop Lud-
den, to kill the hopes of the Gaelic Knights to win a title. Freshmen Pete Stoyan and Todd Kasmer and soph omores Chris Todd and Jeff Charles made particularly strong showings, to help the team achieve an over-all 8-6 record in League play, with a respect able third place in the League.
