Florida School Zone Sign Campaign

2021 Florida Counties & School District Expansion Plan

There are 2,227 high schools in Florida, made up of 1,485 public schools and 742
private schools. Florida ranks as the 3rd state in terms of student enrollment with
2,225,540.

1) Partner with School Districts to reduce School Zone pedestrian fatalities in
Florida by increasing awareness of the new No Texting law in schools throughout
the state.
2) Create School Zone hands free awareness for students and parents.

3) Develop a School Zone sign program for charter and private schools

4) Promote the positive impact of the new "Hands-Free School Zone Law" to the
public and state legislators.
