This patient sustained a palmar degloving injury. After amputation at the level of the 4th and
5th rays, a radial forearm flap (Chinese flap) based on the radial artery was chosen to cover
the raw area as a free flap.

This radial forearm flap, often referred to as the Wang flap, is a surgical technique first
described by Chinese surgeons in the 1980s. Based on the radial artery, it is widely used in
soft-tissue reconstruction due to its reliability, ease of harvesting, and versatility, as it can
               incorporate skin, fascia, and bone.

It is commonly utilized in head, neck, and hand reconstruction.
