QUALITY of LIFE
San Antonio is home to Texas’ only UNESCO World Heritage Site, the San Antonio Missions National
Historic Park. This includes the Alamo and four other Spanish missions. Over the past decade, San
Antonio River walking and bike trail expansions now connect the 5 historical sites to the city center
and beyond.
The world-renowned Riverwalk was inspired by the beautiful city of Venice and attracts millions of
visitors annually. The Riverwalk is flagged by restaurants and boutiques in the city center and extends
north and south to accommodate hikers, bikers, and wildlife enthusiasts alike. In fact, nearly half of all
San Antonio residents live within a ten-minute walk of a public park.
After exploring our nature and bike trails, head to the revitalized post-industrial space that is Pearl
Brewery for nationally acclaimed cuisine. The Pearl is home to one of three U.S. campuses of the
Culinary Institute of America. With San Antonio’s designation as a UNESCO Creative City of
Gastronomy, you’ll never be short on flavor.
