OVERVIEW
The software senses the environment by transmitting, receiving and recording signals
from multiple antennas.
The broadband recordings from multiple transmit-receive antenna pairs are analyzed
to reconstruct a three dimensional image of the environment. Analysis of sequences of
images allows detecting changes in the environment.
THE SOFTWARE IS CAPABLE OF SHORT-RANGE IMAGING
INTO DIELECTRIC ENVIRONMENTS.
High-Level System Overview
The SWORD is comprised of a protective case, an iOS mobile device (such as
an iPhone, iPad, etc.), the SoC, and a lithium ion battery. The lithium ion battery
provides power to the SWORD and act as a backup battery for the iOS mobile
device and is embedded in the cases which provides 5 V and 0.4A of power. The
battery is rechargeable via the native charging system or an external charger.
SWORD has the SoC and the lithium ion battery embedded therein and encases
the iOS mobile device.It is comprised of a durable, light-weight material, provides
drop and shock protection for the iOS mobile device, the SoC, and the lithium ion
battery as well as providing ventilation for the SoC and the lithium-ion battery and
is constructed with fire retardant materials. The melting point is outside of the heat
range of a fire caused by the lithium ion battery.
