WHAT MUST YOU DO WHEN YOU FIND A DAMAGED PARCEL

When you come across a damaged parcel and no matter how small or visible the damage:

 Take a photo on your cell of the damage
 Report the damage to the shipper
 Record “damaged parcel” on the waybill
 On arriving at the office – report to the storeman
 Storeman to carefully check goods for any visible damage
 Storeman to report damage to Manager
 If the goods are damaged, we need to process a claim

ADDITIONAL POINTS

 When shipping many 5lt containers locally in a bakkie, use crates or use shrink wrap round
the collective containers
 When picking up parcels, make sure you get all the parcels as listed on the waybill
 Need “do not double stack” labels on top of goods
 Need to improve packing on core cutters sent out
 When Dyne pens arrive and are leaking……report to management to bring to supplier’s
attention.
 Need to improve Engineering labels on parcels
