11) Change the description (must start with customers initials (Paarl Labels would be PL) and some product description
and dimensions to easily identify the product to the driver, customer and everyone in the system
12) Save all the changes
13) Now you can take on the stock
Once we have used all the 06MAN codes, we start on the second page of the register and start reusing the 06MAN
codes FROM THE TOP AGAIN. If we find that we are not skipping a month before the 06MAN code is reused, we need
to have more codes created, then if 06MAN codes have stock in them…….means we are not following the process
as the items are not going in and out at the branches.
NEVER USE 06MAN CODES FOR ARB ONE OFF PURCHASES
What has also crept in lately is to use 06MAN for any arb one off purchase. This is not acceptable as you will also need
to make sure the product group setting is changed. For example, if you buy in a special brush for a customer through
06MAN, you do not want it to be linked to Engineering but rather under the correct product group BRUSHES.
So how do we process the special brushes as we need a control mechanism to manage this process with full traceability.
For this we need to create an 09BRUSH generic code (follow instructions on requesting a new product code to be
created) which is permanently linked to the correct product group Brushes. The same will apply to every product
group where we have arb one off purchases. The same principle applies where you need to leave the code empty for a
month. If this happens too often in a product group then we need to create 09BRUSH01 and 09BRUSH02, etc.
Remember that you need to follow the same process as with 06MAN codes, namely:
