TASKS TO SHOW REFRACTION

        1.     Put a straw into a glass of water and observe it from the side. What do you notice?  Why do you think
               this happens?

        2.     Look through a convex lens. What do you notice? What happens if you put the lens  further away from
               you? What happens if you bring it nearer to you?

        3.     Look through a concave lens. What do you notice? Put it nearer and further away.   What happens?

        4.     Use two lenses of the same kind, varying the length between them. What do you notice?

        4.     What kind of lens is used in a magnifying glass?

        5.     What kind of lens is used in a microscope?

        6.     Seek to establish what kind of lenses are in the glasses of people in your group or class.
