Experiment 4
Aim: To investigate drive wheels and followers.
Apparatus: Wooden block, nails, hammer, cotton reels, elastic band
Method: Hammer two nails through the holes in two cotton reels onto a wooden base. Put an elastic band
around the two cotton reels and turn one reel.
What happens to the other reel? Try crossing the elastic band in the middle.
Try with one smaller cotton reel. What is the difference?
