Experiment 2
Aim: To explore ways of reducing friction.
Apparatus: Tray, oil, soap, 100 gram weights
Method: Divide a tray into four sections, one track wet, one oily, one soapy and one dry. Hold four
weights at the top of the tilted tray, one on each track, with a ruler. Release the weights at the
same time. Which weight reaches the bottom first?
