Enthusiasts Oreo Burst Choco Lava Cake - Heera V
Some of our team members are avid photographers. Below is a selection of a few of Manoj, A bite of delicious Oreo Burst Choco Lava Cake (with caramel,
nuts and white creamy rose petals used for garnishing)
Sarath and Sumalatha’s favourites. Ingredients
Oreo biscuits - 4 packets (50 g each)
Baking powder - ½ teaspoonful (tsp)
Milk - ½ cup
Dark chocolate
Procedure
• Take a mixie jar, add all the biscuits and grind them well.
• Add baking powder and milk into it and blend it for 30 seconds. Now, our batter is ready.
• Grease the bowl with oil and pour the batter, and tap it well.
• Place the dark chocolate inside and cover it with batter.
• Place a stand inside the pan and preheat the pan for 5 minutes on low flame.
• Place the bowl and cook it for 15–20 minutes on low flame, or bake in a preheated oven
at 180 °C for 5 minutes.
• Insert a toothpick on the sides. If it comes out clean, the cake is baked completely.
• Now, the cake is ready to eat.
• Cut and enjoy the lava burst coming out from inside the cake.
Organic Whole Wheat Cupcakes with Honey Frosting - Simiyon V
We know for a fact that you would agree, that these fruit and nut
cupcakes are to die for. The taste of the cashews, almonds and
raisins in every bite with the beautiful texture of the soft spongy
and moist cake, creating a flavour so wonderful that you get lost in
time till you finish every morsel of it. The honey icing seeps into the
cupcake and merges with it, giving the cupcake a fruity flavour and
earthy taste. So, it’s time for you to try this recipe out for Christmas
and enjoy this with your family and friends.
Ingredients
210 g (1 ½ cup) whole wheat flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp cinnamon
powder, 4 cardamom pods (shelled and powdered), 250 ml (1 cup) milk, 125 ml (1/2 cup)
vegetable oil, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 220 g jaggery or brown sugar, ¾ cup chopped dry fruits
(cashews, almonds, dates and raisins).
For Seasoning
1 tsp honey, 3 tsp icing sugar and 1 tsp cold water
Method
• Mix all the dry ingredients together.
• Blend the wet ingredients with a blender or in a stand mixer.
• Put in the dry fruits into the dry ingredients and mix.
• Mix in the flour mixture along with the dry fruits into the wet
ingredients. Make sure that you do not overmix the batter.
• Spoon the batter into muffin/cupcake pan lined with paper cups
and bake at a preheated oven 160 °C/325 °F for 20 minutes or
until a skewer comes clean.
