• Provide information for publications: Chapters are encouraged to provide the Alumni Relations Division with information on their activities and notable achievements of alumni members. This information may be used for publishing articles that showcase the chapter’s contributions and the accomplishments of its members.
• Participate in graduations: Chapter members are encouraged to actively participate in graduation ceremonies to welcome new alumni into their ranks. This involvement does not only foster a sense of community among alumni, but also provides support and guidance to recent graduates.
• Contribute to governance: Chapters have the opportunity to provide input and suggestions regarding the governance of the University’s alumni affairs. This collaborative approach ensures that the interests and perspectives of various chapters are taken into consideration during decision-making processes.
Don'ts
• Register as legal entities: Chapters are not permitted to register as legal entities. They operate as part of the University's alumni network and are subject to its policies and regulations.
• Use of corporate identity: Chapters cannot use the corporate identity of the University without formal permission from the relevant university authorities. Any use of the University's branding must adhere to established guidelines and protocols.
• Bank accounts: Chapters are not allowed to open their own bank accounts. All financial transactions must be conducted through the University's official channels to ensure transparency and accountability.
• Financial donation: Chapters may not collect financial donations without official approval from the University. This approval ensures that funds collected are properly accounted for and used for their intended purposes, with auditable statements provided as necessary.
