described object, place, or person possesses.
Well, in this section, it's just a specific information. You can describe
the object you choose in more detail.

How do you make an English description text? In addition to the
structure of descriptive text, you also need to know about its language
features or characteristics, including:

• Specific participant: has a specific object, is not general and unique
(there is only one). For example: Uncle Jack, Borobudur Temple.

• The use of adjectives to clarify nouns. For example: a handsome man,
a beautiful woman.

• Use of simple present tense: The sentence pattern used is simple
present because it tells the facts of the object being described.
• Action verbs: there are verbs that denote an activity (the activity can

be seen). For example: run, walk, cut, etc.

The following is an explanation of the types of descriptive text.

1. Descriptive about Person

Joko Widodo also known as Jokowi, is an
Indonesian politician who is the 7th and current

president of Indonesia. His full name is Ir. H.
Joko Widodo. He was born in Surakarta 21 June

1961. He has 3 children. They are Kaesang
Pangarep, Kahiyang Ayu, and Gibran Rakabuming
Raka.

everywhere he goes. He is really populist. After conducting a task as

the governor of Jakarta, Jokowi challenges his luck to be the
president of Indonesia

Jokowi loves rock and roll music. He has been known to
hide his appearance and wear plain clothes so that he
can go to concerts and rock out with his fellow
citizens.
