INDIA’S SPACE RESEARCH PROGRAMME::

                                             CHANDRAYAN 3

ndia’s space agency, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), is gearing up for its highly anticipated

Ilunar mission, Chandrayaan 3. Building upon the successes of its predecessors, Chandrayaan 1 and

2, this ambitious venture aims to further explore the mysteries of the Moon and contribute to humanity’s

        understanding of our celestial neighbour.
Chandrayaan 3 is set to be a significant leap forward for India’s space program. The mission’s primary objective

is to successfully land a rover on the lunar surface, allowing for extensive scientific exploration and data

collection. This will build upon the groundwork laid by the previous missions, which included mapping the

Moon’s topography, analysing its mineral composition, and studying the presence of water molecules.

After the setback faced by Chandrayaan 2, where the lander Vikram crash-landed on the lunar surface, ISRO

has been meticulously refining its plans and rectifying the technical glitches that contributed to the mission’s

partial success. Lessons learned from previous missions have undoubtedly paved the way for improved

        technology and mission execution.

Chandrayaan 3 will undoubtedly be a testament to India’s growing capabilities in the field of space exploration.
It will showcase ISRO’s determination to overcome challenges and achieve its scientific goals. Additionally, it

will foster international collaborations, as India seeks to join the elite group of nations actively engaged in lunar

        exploration.

As the date for land a rover on the lunar surface approaches, the excitement and anticipation continue to grow.

India’s commitment to scientific discovery, coupled with its burgeoning expertise in space technology, ensure

that this mission holds immense promise. Chandrayaan 3 represents a remarkable step forward for India’s

space program and its contribution to the global scientific community.
