C. Sample Class
Schedules
Below are sample class schedules that show the amount of
time spent per subject, different off-learning periods, and
nature of session (synchronous or asynchronous). The
following are observed in the class schedule:
• Homeroom Periods. To set up the daily mood and
to do other class routines, the homeroom periods
are provided to update the class of announcements,
reminders, and other off-learning period discussions
or interactions.
• Synchronous Sessions. Plotted in the table as the
subject areas, the student logs in to Schoology to
access conferences and meet with the teacher
virtually using an in-app video conferencing
platform, Big Blue Button or any other video
conferencing apps.
• Asynchronous Sessions. Through varied activities
such as answering book activities, worksheets,
reading, writing, watching videos, conducting
experiments, and doing hands-on activities out of
the synchronous time, students complete assigned
tasks posted or pre-assigned by the teacher.
