EVENTS
nother home run event just gave our programs an extra THANK YOU TO OUR
boost thanks to our fantastic sponsors and supporters.
AOur annual gala event, Fielding Hope, held at Jimmy GENEROUS SPONSORS!
John’s stadium in September, really knocked it out of the park!
Diamond:
Presented by TCF Bank, this baseball themed experience gave
guests a truly unique, in-person, event experience. Attendees
enjoyed live music, testing their prowess in the batting cage,
taking fun snaps in the photo booth, and a delicious buffet, all
in the open air under the fall night sky.
Leading our event was Chair Tom Shafer, Senior Executive
Vice President and Co-President of the Huntington
Commercial Bank, and Vice Chairs Kristen Ritter, PwC and
Rev. Dr. William Danaher of Christ Church Cranbrook. We
also honored Huntington Bank as our Great Ambassador Helicopter Ball Drop: Firework Display:
and our Rock Star Volunteer Award was presented to Alpha
Kappa Alpha, Lambda Pi Omega Chapter in Detroit. Rev.
Dr. Wendell Anthony threw out the spiritual “first pitch” with
a rousing invocation.
Guests listened to mission moments, including heartfelt
testimonial from Katie McKuen, a foster parent recruiter who Grand Slam:
was a foster child herself. The night ended with an exciting
Samaritas themed laser light show. The event also raised
almost $192,000, truly a home run for Samaritas in every
way! To become a sponsor for next year's Ripples Gala
