2-6 Halloween

Aim

a) Students will engage in the traditions of Halloween and explore the fun of trick
or treating.

b) Halloween fosters the relationships and interactions between N and K classes;
through the activities and missions planned for each room, Halloween nurtures
and commits to strengthen these friendships and each students’ social
development.

Operation Policy

a) The week Halloween falls on, Kindergarten teachers and teacher assistants will
decorate the kindergarten hallway and classrooms to promote the traditions of
Halloween.

b) Prior to Trick or Treating, each homeroom teacher will be tasked with
overseeing a mission for each class that visits; these missions are planned to
excite and encourage children’s enthusiasm alongside social interaction and
development.
c) On the day of the event, a timetable with classroom rotations will be scheduled
to ensure the safety of the children. Teachers will ensure that students have
been explained the rules and regulations prior to Trick or Treating.
d) Students will be tasked to bring and prepare their costumes (light costumes
such as a mask, or a hat will be sufficient).

e) Each class will be scheduled with 15 minutes to Trick or Treat in the allotted
classroom and complete the mission provided.

a) Period (Term): Semester 2 2021

b) Date and Time: 22th October 2021

c) Target Group of Students: All Kindergarten students

d) Place: All Kindergarten classrooms (3 in total)
e) Activity Guideline: Missions within each classroom to promote social interaction
and development; Trick or Treating; singing and dancing.
