School Exchange Program Grade 4

On July 17 the Grade 4 students of Wellington Primary School visited Singapore Korean International School (SKIS).
Students made new friends and learned about different cultures. Throughout the day students learned about the
ancient Korean tradition of calligraphy. Students designed fans in this style. Next students designed Korean face masks
using clay. Grade 4 students then enjoyed some Korean hospitality with organic juices and snacks. Students then
learned about the Korean martial art of taekwondo participating in jumping and spinning kicks.

On July 18 SKIS grade 4 students visited Wellington Primary School and reacquainted themselves with their new
friends. Students learned Malay words and phrases and sang songs in Malay. Students then engaged in batik painting
which originates from Indonesia. Students remarked on how they thoroughly enjoyed both exchange days and have
now made lifelong friends.
