School Exchange Program Grade 2
nd
On September 2 students from Elias Park Primary School visited SKIS for the grade 2 exchange program. We began
the day with a short introduction to the school followed by an ice-breaker activity whereby the children asked their new
friends various questions based on the color of M&Ms. After forming some new friendships, the students helped each
other make water bottles with a Korean art design on them. Students then participated in a Tae Kwon Do exhibition
where they all got to learn and practice some key moves. The day concluded with a small goodbye ceremony in the
classrooms and a gift exchange. A fun and engaging morning was had by all.

On September 4 it was SKIS’s turn to visit Elias Park Primary School and learn about life at a local school in Singapore.
We started the day with a welcome ceremony where the children got the opportunity to write a short note to their
friends. Following this we toured the school and the students played some traditional Malay games in the playground.
After having a run around and chat together, we all headed up to enjoy a delicious buffet-style lunch which included
some food that the students had never tried. Once lunch was done, we concluded the day with a craft activity in the
school’s art room. The students had a lovely day meeting up with their new friends and learning about their life at school.
