           SKEWEN SOLDIER ON

           West Glamorgan’s Winter league saw Skewen once again as Champions by completing the sea-
           son unbeaten. This remarkable team keep rewriting the record books. They also retained the
           Welsh League Winners' Championship at Llandrindod Wells. The final positions were Skewen
                                                            Champions, Runners up Morriston, and Blue An-
                                                            chor in third place.
                                                                      THE “A TEAM” TAKE

                                                             THE OPEN CHARITY TRIPLES

                                                            Teams  from  across  South  Wales  came  to  Bro
                                                            Myrddin Indoor Bowls Centre Open Charity Triples
                                                            Trophy in aid of the Dialysis Unit at Glangwili Hos-
                                                            pital,  Carmarthen.  The  winning  team  collected
                                                            £150 plus the Perpetual Trophy. The runners re-
                                                            ceived £75, 3rd & 4th £45. Medals were presented
           to the Winners and Runners-Up Aled Humphreys, Andrew Jones & Andrew Hudson - 'The A Team'
           (in red) took the title, with Natasha Roberts, Medwyn & Ceri Jones from Rhydlewis (Cardigan) tak-
           ing the runners up spot.
           CARMARTHEN PAIR WIN THE WELSH UNDER 16’s

           The finals of the WSMBA Junior Pairs competition provided an excellent display of short mat bowls.
           The first semi-final was between Josh Collins & Joseph Dowling of Cardigan, playing Aaron Lloyd
           (Penally) and James John-Davies (Freystrop), was a very close game played to a high standard
           with Aaron and James ultimately winning by 7 shots to 6.
