Sixteen teams contested the Eileen
Killington Open Fours which was won by
Stonyhills 1 who went through the day
undefeated. The day started with Wood-
lands beating West Hanningfield 16 – 1
while the home side were defeated by
Outwood Common 1, 8 – 2.
In the second round of matches
Winners Andrea Phillbrick, Woodlands won again this time beating

and Tony Ealham

14 – 1 & 15 – 0 for Stonyhill 1 & Burham
respectively.
In the 3rd round of games the big wins
kept coming with East Hanningfield win-
ning 16 – 1, but the early leaders of the
competition were Stonyhill 1 with 6pts &
a shot difference of plus 27 with Out-
wood Common in 2nd place also with
6pts & a shot difference of plus 10.
In round 4 Outwood Common 1 lost
their first game of the day while Stonyhill
1 won yet again, there were now 3 teams
fighting for 2nd place namely Wood-
lands, Outwood Common 1 & East Han-
ningfield. Finalists Steve Killington. Craig Burgess,

both lost their next games which left East
Hanningfield as the only team who could catch Stonyhill, the home side won their last game
but so did Stonyhill to take the trophy which they richly deserved after going undefeated all
day.
The Winning team consisted of Tony Ealham, Jonathon East, Dave Chittock & Andrea
Phillbrick with the runner ups being Craig Burgess, Steve Killington, Paul Bax & Tony Orpin.
A big thank you goes to Lesley & Peter Fautley in the kitchen who cooked over 40 Roast Din-
ners & Rachel Cordy who ran the tombola stall & all the other helpers on the day.
