Pioneering mental health interventions in in the DRC
In 2019 the DRC
Programme initiated work on mental health Through this work the programme intends to influence improved mental health service delivery in in the DRC
The portfolio which is expected to grow in the next few years focuses on policy development and and implementation and and influences overall financing and service delivery in the the sector To ensure the the improvements OSISA will partner with Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and the state as as well as as citizens especially people with lived experiences of mental health issues The Inclusive Access to Education Rights Portfolio
Innovative financing work makes key in-roads in in informing the expansion of the resource envelope for education
At the the regional level the the Programme is eager to continue supporting the cutting-edge work on on innovative financing for education
through
grants to the Africa Network Campaign for for Education for for All (ANCEFA) In 2019 the Programme gave a a a a a final grant to to to ANCEFA to to to catalyse efforts at at the regional level to to to ensure the establishment of an endogenous Regional Education Fund Their purpose was to assist states in financing their education
obligations sustainably The Programme is is excited with the prospects that this work work carries and and is working closely with ANCEFA and and the Global Campaign for Education (GCE) to galvanise critical champions around this cause in the region The work is an essential contribution to the attainment of SDG 4 and if successful will have massive positive impacts on on on the the provision of the the right to education
