The biography of forefather Yan
Sheng, mentioned his son by the
name of Yan Chun His as an elder

and head of the 11 generation
group of descendants.
In his turn, forefather Yan Chun His
left behind him a son named Yan Jen
Hsi to continue on the family lineage
as a number 11 generation
th
descendant.
On his demise, forefather Yan Jen
Hsi was buried in a hill-lock at wu
Shih Pan, Chen An hamlet, Li Jen
village, An Jen administrative unit,
9 and 10 capital, Yung Chun
th
th
county.
The heir named in the biography of
forefather Yan Jen Hsi was his only
son Yan Kuang Chin, who took his
place as an elder of the 12
th
generation adherents within the Yan
clan.
Forefather Yan Kuang Chin married
a maiden from the Chen clan as his
legal wife and, on his death, the
chosen burial ground for his
internment was at a hill named Fei
Feng Chao, Feng Shan(meaning
Phoenix Hill), located in the 9 and
th
10 capital of Yung Chun county.

Forefather Yan Kuang Chin left
behind him, his eldest son by the
name of Yan Chang Sun to succeed
him as the head of the Yan clan. The
newly appointed elder was born
during the reign of Emperor Ming
Hung Wu (after 1398 A.D.) and, on
reaching his adulthood he married,
in accordance with Chinese custom,
a maiden from the Chou clan.
He was buried, on his death at
Chen an, Kuan Chuan, Hou Yang

hamlet, in the 9 and 10 capitals of
Yung Chun county.
Forefather Yan Chang Sun, a 13
th
generation descendant, was also
known by another name of Yan Wen
and his word-line was that of Tai. In
his marriage alliance, two children
were born into his household to carry
on the Yan genealogical line of the
number 14 generation order. They

bore the name of:-
1. Yan Yung Ping and
2. Yan Yung Cheng.
Forefather Yan Yung Cheng took an
unprecedented step by choosing his
eldest grandson to succeed him and
become the 14 clan patriarch of the
th
Hsia Hsing conjugal house, Ta Pu
district.
Thus, Yan Yung Pin was raised up
from the 15 generation row to a
th
rank higher than what was due to his
birthright.
On completion of the hand-over to
his appointed heir, forefather Yan
Yung Cheng left Hsia Hsing hamlet
and moved his household into Ting
Tou hamlet, Feng Hu district, where
he could personally supervise over
the running of his newly acquired
farms at Hsia Yan and Liu Keng,
Chiang Tien.
Both these holdings were located
within walking distance from each
other.
Following his coming, forefather
Yan Yung Cheng took a second
unprecedented step by setting
himself up in the position of an
ancestor charged with the
management of the conjugal houses
