When he came of age, he
married a maiden from the Yang
clan, posthumous title An Chieh.
She was born during the reign of
Ming emperor Hsuan Te, turned out
to be barren and passed away in her
prime under the rule of Emperor
Hung Chih.
Forefather Yan Chung Tung
took another wife and hailed from the
Chen clan. From this union, a son,
Yan Jen Hsiang, was born to attend
to perform the rites that were
required to be regularly performed
before the ancestral shrine and
procreate future descendants from
generation to generation.
Forefather and his deceased
wives were buried in the plot of
ground that belonged to the Yan
family at Hsiang Fan Lin, 9 capital,

Chin Chiang County.
7th Generation
As an only child in the family, Yan
Jen Hsiang became the sole
beneficiary of forefather Yan Chung
Tung and took over his mantle as the
next head of the Yan clan.
On reaching manhood, he was
bestowed with the stylistic name of
Wen Pi and, on his own accord; he
adopted the customary designated
name Chun Liu.
Born at the time of the Ming
Emperor Tien shun, he lived to a ripe
old age. At the age of 42, he joined
the government service as a civil
servant and on his death, he was
awarded posthumously with the title
of Feng Cheng by the Ming
government reserved for high
officials, for his meritorious work in
the deputy prime minister’s
residence.
He married a maiden from the
Chen clan, born in the reign of Ming
emperor Sheng Hua and deceased
under the rule of Chia Ching of the
Ming dynasty. She bore him five
sons to carry on the Yan lineage and
their given names were:-
1. Yan Min,
2. Yan Chang,
3. Yan Ching,
4. Yan Hsien, and lastly
5. Yan Yueh.
He lived to a ripe old age of 81 and
he passed away when Emperor Chia
Ching (1522-1567) of the Ming
dynasty was on the throne.
8th Generation
Yan Ching, styled Chien Yang,
designation Tun Su, third in order of
seniority, was named by forefather
Yan Jen Hsiang as his heir to
succeed him as the next patriarch in
the Yan clan. He was given the
stylistic name of Chien Yang and
designated name of Tun Su, when he

was raised up to serve as the 8
patriarch of this conjugal house.
Born in the reign of the Ming
emperor Hung Chih of the Ming
dynasty, he passed away when
emperor Chia Ching came to the
throne.
He married a maiden from the
Wu clan, posthumous title Chieh Su.
She was born soon after Hung Chih
was installed as emperor of the Ming
dynasty and died at the age of 46.
Forefather Yan Ching was
buried in Ho Wei Lin, An Ping
administrative unit, Chin Chiang
County. According to a tablet, placed
in the ancestral shrine, his fifth and
youngest brother, Yan Yueh, shifted
his household to Pei Chen, Hui An
