16th Generation
The clan leader of this generation
was Yan Tun Pei, the eldest son and
successor of forefather Yan Shih
Huai.
He, in turn, fathered two sons
to maintain the continuation of the
Yan lineage. They were:-
1. Yan Yu Chung, and
2. Yan Yu Lau.
17th Generation
Yan Yu Lau, who was the second son
of forefather Yan Tun Pei, inherited
from his father, the right to be

installed as the 17 patriarch of the
Yan clan in the An Ping conjugal
house.
He managed to raise up five
sons to follow in his footsteps and
they bore the names of :-
1. Yan Chi Huai,
2. Yan Chi Ching,
3. Yan Chi Kuan,
4. Yan Chi Se, and lastly
5. Yan Chi I.
18th Generation
Yan Chi Huai inherited from his
forefather Yan Yu Lau the family
estate and the mantle, as the
patriarch of the 18 generation rank

of the Yan descendants.
He left behind him an only son,
whom he named as Yan Yu Tung, to
fulfill his filial duty towards his
ancestors in the family shrine.
19th Generation
Yan Yu Tung was an only son and
sole heir of forefather Yan Chi Huai.
Similarly, forefather Yan Chi Ching
produced an only child in his family
and he named him as Yan Yu Chai.
Forefather Yan Chi Kuan was more
successful in raising up a family with
two sons, namely:-
1. Yan Yu Ching and
2. Yan Yu Ching to perform the
rites and worship before the
ancestral shrine.
Forefather Yan Chi Se was also
successful in raising up two sons in
his family whose respective names
were:-
1. Yan Yu Po and
2. Yan Yu I
Yan Yu Hou and Yan Yu I took over
from Yan Yu Tung and Yan Yu Chai
as the patriarch of this generation
when both his eldest and second
brother died young without issues of
their own.
Forefather Yan Chi I had an only son
in his household whom he gave Yan
Yu Hou as his given name.
20th Generation
For some inexplicable reasons, the
upper conjugal house at An Ping
administrative unit, Chin Chiang
County, was left in the lurch without
any legitimate heirs, being born to
forefather Yan Yu Tung and
forefather Yan Yu Chai. No records
of a successor to either of these two
households was written and handed
down.
Next came the turn of Yan Yu Ching,
the eldest son of forefather Yan Chi
Kuan, to share the fate of a third
family without producing an heir.
The wife of forefather Yan Yu
Ching bore him a son, Yan Chang
