at Pei Chen, Hai An administrative

unit, Hui An county, as the 20
generation descendant and patriarch
head.
Forefather Yan Chi Se was
disappointed at his eldest son, Yan
Yu Po, for failing to provide him with
a grandson.
However, Yan Yu I made amend for
his elder brother by producing six
sons to gladden the heart of
forefather Yan Chi Se as a many folds
grandfather.
1. Yan Chang I, the eldest son of
forefather Yan Yu I, was given
away and adopted by
forefather Yan Yu Huo, who
was without a heir in his family
to carry on his lineage.
2. Yan Chang Tan,
3. Yan Chang Chi, and
4. Yan Chang Pu. His next three
sons were born with birth
defects and all of them
remained single in their
lifetime and they passed away
before attaining adulthood,
while
5. Yan Chang Shih and
6. Yan Chang Kuang, were
relegated to the lower conjugal
house in conformity with the
junior ranks they held within
the family. Each of them bore
an only son in their respective
household, but details of their
names were not recorded and
handed down.
Narration of the family tree, that
sprouted and expanded out from An
Ping administrative unit, Chin
Chiang county, came to an abrupt
halt with the birth of the two
unnamed descendants of the Yan
st
clan belonging to the 21 generation.
20th Generation
Yan Chang Hsueh, the natural son
of forefather Yan Yu Ching of the An
Ping conjugal house in Chin Chiang
County, was seconded and brought
over to lead the Eastern Pei Chen
conjugal house belonging to the Yan
clan at An Hai administrative unit,
Hui An county, Fu Chien province.
This recourse was taken to prevent
the Yan lineage of this locality from a
total extinction. He was conferred
with the posthumous title as
ancestor Yan Yin Chai.
21st Generation
Ancestor Yan Yin Chai was the proud
parent of three sons born into his
newly inherited mansion and estate.
Their given names were: -
1. Yan Chi Yan,
2. Yan Chi Kuei and
3. YanChi Chin.
22nd Generation
Forefather Yan Chi Yan failed to
produce any male heir so he had no
alternative but to adopt the third son
of his second brother to succeed him
in his house. His adopted son was
Yan Cheng Shan.
Similarly, Yan Chi Chin was without
a male issue and he sought the same
recourse by adopting Yan Cheng
Chung, the eldest of his second elder
brother, to be his heir and
beneficiary.
