Think seriously about this question. If you do not, then you must plan in advance or there might not be any other choice. What kind of lifestyle do you want if care is needed? Do you want to stay home? If so, will your home need to have changes made to it to accommodate your needs? Would you like to be able to move to an assisted living facility where you will have the companionship of others your age? If your children will care for you, will that require a move to live near them or perhaps to live with them? What about your friends? Your church? Will you be ready to give them up if the move is a long distance one? If you are planning on having the government take care of you (we will talk more about that later) are you com- fortable spending most of your income and assets frst? Having little or no say in which nursing home you will live in? Are you willing to share a room with someone else? Are Long Term Care Insurance Premiums Affordable? The premiums for Long Term Care Insurance are almost always a bargain if it becomes necessary for you use the benefts of your policy, but that doesn’t mean they are cheap.
