*While jokes are a fun part of life we should treat others like we want to be treated. Use good judgment to avoid drama.
*There’s a difference between being funny and being disrespectful. Give an example of a time you felt someone’s
jokes were disrespectful.
Scenario: It’s A Hard Knox Life
Bruno the Bull Dawg liked to harass the other doggs at
school. Goldie the Golden Retriever was a laid-back kind
of character that usually just ignored Bruno’s ignorance. One day Bruno went crossed the line and pressured Goldie to give up her lunch. Bruno assumed that Goldie would surrender her lunch because she usually didn’t bark back at his harassing antics.
But Goldie felt that Bruno disrespected her, and she had no choice but to stand up to him. When he went to grab her
lunch she quickly snapped at him, and nipped his nose. All the school-yard doggs cheered for Goldie as Bruno waddled away.
Bruno never bothered Goldie again. While we need to be patient and kind to others, there are exceptions to the rules
and you may need to defend yourself to prevent future problems. You should always use your words first and ask a Big Dogg for guidance.
